Our ClassiCon Headquarters in Munich

Just as timelessly classic as our furniture is the place where it is created and managed. Since 2003, ClassiCon’s offices, warehouse and showroom have been located in a building designed for us by architect Joachim Jürke. With its reduced aesthetics, honest materials such as glass, concrete and wood, and the absence of air-conditioning technology, it stands for our credo of always focusing on the essentials.

Anyone who drives through the emerging commercial area directly behind the new Munich-Riem trade fair centre and notices that most of the buildings are lined up more or less facelessly, that styles and facades rub against each other like cement and stones in a mixing machine, is grateful for every project that develops independence and acts on its own.

The showroom and offices of the ClassiCon company are located in the industrial estate within the town and exhibition centre of Riem. Made of exposed concrete, the monolithic building with its hard edges, clear lines and smooth surfaces provides a neutral, unobtrusive setting for the presentation of the furniture exhibits. All materials and colours were chosen so as to not distract from the furniture display. The asphalt surface of the adjoining car park, for example, continues inside as the building’s floor covering. The interior space has been arranged according to a few characteristic elements. A massive fire wall separates the office area in the south from the storage area free of supporting pillars in the north. Generous glazing facilitates interesting visual perspectives across the interior space, as well as onto the surrounding parkland and neighbouring buildings.
