We rely on environmentally friendly raw materials such as vegetable-tanned leather, FSC-certified wood, hand-picked wild nettle, and sustainably sourced cork. Further processing is entrusted to experienced partners who work with the utmost resource efficiency. In this way, we safeguard nature and animal welfare alike. Local production, recyclability and fair collaborations are the hallmarks of our responsible approach to materials and the environment.
Our principal glass supplier specialises in recyclable raw materials, supporting a closed material cycle. Production is resource-efficient and powered by renewable energy. Regional supply chains reduce emissions while supporting the local economy. In the glassblowing process, we use durable steel moulds rather than wood – a further contribution to the prevention of waste and the minimisation of material consumption. The result is design that unites aesthetic excellence with genuine environmental responsibility.
For us, sustainability means more than protecting the environment – it also means taking responsibility for all living beings. Animal welfare is not an afterthought but an integral part of our environmentally responsible, fair and future-oriented supply chain. By using ethically sourced materials, we create products of lasting quality – in harmony with nature, people and animals. We place particular emphasis on strict animal welfare standards in the sourcing of materials such as wool and leather. Our suppliers are committed to the highest animal welfare standards – from the respectful treatment of animals to species-appropriate husbandry. For our wool products, we use only mulesing-free qualities, with full transparency and traceability of origin. Shearing is carried out under carefully controlled conditions. Leather is used consciously only in selected products – and exclusively as a by-product of the food industry, avoiding unnecessary impact on both animals and the environment.
In collaboration with our partner manufacturers, we are continually developing new ways to make the production of our designs more environmentally responsible. For instance, in our glassblowing workshop we have replaced wooden moulds with steel ones, extending the lifespan of the tools while saving valuable resources. Our Corker collection is produced using a technique that requires no artificial adhesives, ensuring each piece is made entirely from natural cork.
