Marble has a history of thousands of years, an enduring place as a material in art and architecture, and, in its natural form, can be found in diverse geographic regions around the world. And although it has never gone out of style, the natural stone is experiencing a special revival this year and is considered one of the trend materials of 2022 in the interior segment. As a coffee table or side table, for example, the noble stone radiates a modern flair and subtly contributes luxurious, special highlights with its timeless elegance.
From almost monochrome colouring in black and white to patterns of different colours in brown, green and blue, marble has as many appearances as the regions it comes from.
Probably the most famous marble is the Bianco Carrara quarried in Tuscany, Italy. The white marble was used for ancient buildings and sculptures and, depending on the mineralisation, is completely white or has grey marbling. Nero Marquina, a black limestone with characteristic white veining, appears to be the counterpart to Bianca Carrara. It is quarried in Marquina and Aulestia in Spain.
The brown Emperador Dark is also a limestone from Spain. Its colour play changes between light and dark brown, marbled with white lines and patterns. The stones Sahara Noir, Rainforest Green and Nero Pororo with their extravagant marbling and intensive colours radiate a special opulence.
For many years, marble product elements have played an important role in the ClassiCon collection.
The differently patterned marble table tops complement the colour variety of the Bell Table series.
The large version of the Pli Table also receives an individual, unmistakable radiance with a marble top.
The Bow Table series reminiscent of 1970’s design refers to this era even more with the use of marble surfaces. The Bow Coffee Table No. 3 Marble is completely made of solid marble and excellently works as an expressive stand-alone piece or in a group.
Given the natural and always unique grain of the marble, each piece of furniture made with it is also one of a kind.
